About Nioucha:

A bit of background about myself: I am a certified TEFL teacher, with over 7 years of teaching experience abroad and speak several languages (Italian, German and French). I believe I offer not just my teaching skills, but an international mindset and an intercultural sensitivity which has proven to be very helpful to any teaching environment.

I have taught English at all levels: from one-on-one courses and classes through language institutes, as well as teaching freelance in-company courses to professionals where I also integrated Business English with Intercultural Communication. I have actively researched, organized and developed curricula, conversation lessons, used audio activities and other supplementary online material. I always find suitable learning material to compliment and aid whatever text or reading material a student may currently be using. I have also provided tutoring for language exams such as IELTS, TOEFL and PET.

I don't believe in a "one size fits all” approach to learning, rather I try and understand the needs, strengths and limits of each student and work with them in a supportive and encouraging manner. Teaching must be flexible and evolve; my aim is to create a learning environment which is stimulating, engaging and will help a student achieve their personal or professional goals.At the same time, it is important that students do their part, dedicate the necessary time toward their studies, rise to the challenges they might face and know that they can successfully work through them.

In addition to teaching, I have also worked in several other fields including print publication as managing editor, writer and translator for a bi-lingual magazine. My broad background proves to be a strong asset as it has strengthened my abilities to be highly self-motivated, organized, adaptable, creative and independent. My MA in Communications and my undergraduate degree in Theater and Film Studies have also proven to be very effective tools in eliciting students’ participation and motivation.
